When Brisbane was announced as host city for the 2032 Olympic Games and Paralympics (albeit in a one-horse race), it created a wave of excitement among property spruikers.
The date falls bang around the start of the next land cycle (from a bottom of around 2028–2046.)
As a Land Cycle Investor subscriber, you know what that means.
A lot of spending and infrastructure investment …and speculators already jumping in expecting it to feed directly into land price gains for a few years yet!
However, before you rush in, does history support the case?
The truth is, when it comes to assessing if the Olympics is really worth a speculative bet, the data on sustained price gains is variable — and dependant on a host of local factors.
